I highly recommend this place as a must stop, when in Corpus Christi! Your kids will love it and if you are by yourself, you will definitely enjoy your visit. Every display is spectacular and memorable. The Dolphin and Bird shows are the most entertaining. I highly recommend stopping here at least once or twice. They have several food and snack choices available for purchase. I know everyone will have a very good experience every time.
Nice family oriented place. I love looking at all the animals, but not touching! You can pet a jellyfish and some species of shark- not interested! Loved the dolphin exhibit and their tricks! They even have a Starbucks. Pretty clean for an aquarium and there’s an outdoor kids water park. Walking distance from the beach.
We enjoyed the aquarium very much. I'm sure we missed a lot due to the little ones getting tired and wanting to leave but we will go again. Watching the shark feeding was interesting but it was hard to understand what the guide was saying (issues with the acoustics of the building perhaps). Don't miss the dolphin show! That was the best part of our day.
This past weekend was the very first time I had visited the TEXAS STATE AQUARIUM. These guys have the best people in Corpus Christi working there. they're very knowledgeable, they're all very patient, kind, courteous. mid morning, lovely day, it was packed. I felt like I was always in someones way. the flow was too slow, my children were exhausted we didn't make it past the first level. The restrooms, not good, I didn't want to use them, what can you do. This was very hard to only offer 3 STARS, that's only because of the amazing, very hard work people working there.
Absolutely LOVED visiting here! There are so many cool exhibits that you don't find other places. Really feel like it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to make some awesome memories with my daughter! She was in LOVE with the dolphin show and I was so impressed at how happy the dolphins were. They looked like they genuinely were having so much fun playing in the tank together before and after the show! Was totally cool that we go to feed the sting rays, pet sharks and even pet a jellyfish. If we ever move to corpus we will definitely be aquarium members!
