I have been going to Denise's Unlimited Salon for 4 years now. She is a true artist. I have naturally curly hair to naturally wavy hair and her cuts are the best I have ever had. I have no need to do anything but wash and dry my hair, and it is ready to go! And the color is perfect....it exactly matches samples my mother saved of my hair when I was younger. I also think she does an excellent massage....after all she has been teaching it for years. She knows the body inside out, and can really make a change in how you feel. I have seen the disgruntled student review, and it is just sour grapes. She obviously didn't do something right, either didn't pay for the course, or didn't complete it and then tries to ruin the business by putting out a poor review. So if you prefer your salon to be free of toxic chemicals like acrylic nails and brazilian blowouts, give Denise's a try!!
My experience as a student at Denise's massage school was one of my worst ever! Thirteen months after completing all my requirements Denise is still causing me problems. She did not adhere to all the items in her contract. The building and paperwork was poorly maintained, towels were ragged, and sheets smelled like rancid oil, which was embarrassing to bring clients in. Only a trolley was provided as a desk. She talked down to me, and lied multiple times so I could not trust what she said. I had to use a bath towel for draping instead of learning to use a sheet. I made A's and finished my hours quickly but she still bad-mouthed me. She wrongly accused me of stealing twice. She took six months after I paid her in full to send the State my official transcript before I could get my license and start working. There is too much negative to write it all here, but do yourself a favor and stay away from Denise.
