This is a very nice place, ascetically speaking, but the masseuses and the customer service are typical Corpus Christi, unfortunately.

I recently enjoyed a swedish massage at Woodhouse Day Spa. I actually had to cancel my original appointment at the very last minute as my grandmother (who lives in Corpus Christi) had fallen and fractured her hip. The team was incredibly accommodating with an obviously tough family emergency. Upon entering the Spa you immediately start to relax and I loved the robes and sandals that are provided as well as the secure lockers. The massage was fantastic. I'm a mother of two under two and was feeling a lot of tension and knots in my back. I left feeling a little sore (due to the knots), but rejuvenated! I would definitely be back. Also, loved all the items that you can buy. I was able to get a little gift for my babysitter. Thank you for a great experience.
When I went to check out, I was told that I needed to pay. I explained to the girl at the front desk that my boyfriend had already paid over the phone. I was then told that his card was only to hold the appointment (he was never told this) and that they had to have the physical card, and they would not let me leave the building until one of us paid. Who does that?! He was at work and could not get to his phone, so I was made to wait for over 40 minutes until he could try and pay over the phone. I was not given any water to drink while I waited, which is ironic considering that the masseuse instructed me to drink a lot of water after my massage. Prior to my massage, I was given a small glass of water but had to wait so long for my massage, I had finished the water and was not given a refill. I was not feeling well after being spoken to and treated so unprofessionally, and after such a waste of time (sitting in there for so long waiting because of their mistake, and because of such a half-assed massage). I started crying in the waiting area because I was so upset. I had a million things to do that day and did not have time to wait because they failed to properly take a payment over the phone. I was so disappointed because I NEVER go to go and relax or get a massage. I really needed it and my entire experience was just horrible. My son was home alone waiting for me and was worried. I was supposed to be back by a certain time. The same girl from the front finally came to tell me that my boyfriend had called to pay over the phone, and that they let him do it this one time as a courtesy (as if she was doing him a favor despite it being her mistake), and that I could leave (I was visibly upset)- and then walked off into the back like a coward, with no remorse. She was extremely rude to me!!!! This is an unprofessional business. Do not waste your time coming here.
I love when you enter the spa is so relaxing, the plush robes they offer are extra comfy. It is by far one of the BEST spa's in Corpus Christi.
if I could afford to come here every month or so that would be great. I consider this place a "SPOIL".
This was probably my worst experience at this spa after living in the area for over 12 years and have been here many times. After several minor inconveniences before my messages they took me back late and my massage was ended early. It was supposed to be a volcanic hot stone massage. My complaint it had felt like sandpaper and was informed they had changed it to sea stone. Not only did it feel like a massage with sand paper but was not the minutes paid for and not even offered water afterward. My worst experience ever.
I've had a couple of deep tissue massages and a couple of eye brow wax sessions. All of which we're A-OK.
I have several jobs as well as go to school, I am constantly busy and I work very hard. Recently I was in a couple of bad car accidents and all of my jobs are very physically demanding. In other words, I REALLY needed a relaxing massage. My wonderful boyfriend booked a back, neck, and shoulder and foot massage for me and paid over the phone with his credit card. While I was there, I noticed that despite how great it looks, the women's restroom does not have a proper place to change into your robe. Anyone can just walk in at any given time while you're changing and the floors are very cold. During my massage, I could hear a lot going on in the room next to me. I could not relax because of this. This is very rude! My back massage started off very well, but after a while it seemed as if the masseuse got tired? She focused on my shoulders and hardly touched my neck and back. I especially noticed this during my foot massage, I could've given myself a better foot massage! There were moments where she would stop massaging and just keep her hand on my foot, with no pressure or anything, and her other hand would be elsewhere. Maybe she was on her phone?
