A curiosity of this park is an abundance of foliage-clearing harvester ants, the natural food of the near-extinct 5 species of "horny toad" horned lizards. They eat seeds and won't bother people if you don't bother them.
Weight area. Swings & slides in 2 areas. Quiet most times of day/night. Duck pond
Awesome park!!! Love teaching outdoor classes here & Silver Sneakers at the senior center. Very clean & maintained!
I love this park. I go running & also we love to feed the ducks!
Personally, I'm more afraid of the geese.
Lots of space, rolling hills, beautiful wildflowers, streams and duck pond, picnic areas, disc golf course, walking/running trail. One hillside has a flock of wild "budgie" parakeets in early mornings, and native birds use the park also, but their visits vary with the season.
This place is starting to shape up better. The city is working hard to improve and fix up the park. They've patched up the canyons on the roadside parking areas. Most notably the ones by the duck pond. Wish they could do something about the seagulls, though. Those things suck.
