DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD/REN HERE!! THEY ARE AWFUL!!

I would not say that this school is as bad as they say... The director is more than friendly and great with kids, what seems to be the prop. is low or gov. funding. The teachers are good with the kids and do chat with each other as colleagues are supposed to comunicate, remember they are working and everyone talks on the job. In the summer my son went on field trips, played and was almost not willing to leave, there lunchs are well put together and for the most part healthy and balanced. I would recomend this daycare and would not listen to one person who had a bad experience. I will say that first baptist is better, this is where my daughter goes and loves it, tuition is double!

I wouldnt send my child here unless you really dont want them to be supervised or well taken care of! I sent my 20 month old here and was very verbal to all the administration that this was my daughters first time in any kind of day care setting as she was comming off of a serious medical conditon that required her to be away from other children. I was told that ALL the teachers were loving & would help aclimate her to the new routine. On the first day we took her there, the teacher asked if she had been in any kind of program before, when we said no, the woman ROLLED her eyes & let out a HUGE sigh & said oh, this ought to be fun! I should have known then!! She cried every day that I left her & was crying everyday when I picked her up! I commented to the teacher & the administration that she didnt seem to be adjusting & they told me to just give it more time! So another week the same thing! One day I forgot to pack her blanket & her lovey, well my husband went over unannounced. He said he watched in the window for a good 5 minutes while the teacher talked to the teacher in the next room & the children in my daughters class wrestled around, climbed on tables ect all the while my daughter is sitting on a little couch all by herself. When my husband opened the door the teachers quickly made an excuse for their talking & my husband asked if our daughter sat by herself often looking so distraught? She replied that this was her adjustment phase & she would get over it!! My husband told the teacher that that was the stupidest thing he had ever heard & told her it was her job as the teacher to help my daughter get accustomed to the environment! We took her out & put her in another school, one in which she bloomed & was very happy!

I attended Alameda School and so did my brother. We developed lasting friendships, many of which carried through into college and our adult careers. Alameda School is a great place with nurturing staff. They have been in business for more than 25 years and have a great record with regulatory agencies. I would definitely recommend them and trust them with the care of my children.

This preschool and childcare is a Godsend! The teachers and owners are all so great! The rooms are nice, updated and very kid friendly. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great day care for their little ones.

Staff does not think its their job to contact you if they are having disciplinary problems at school and they punish kids in unfair ways. My son was never allowed to participate in holiday events such as easter egg hunting and seeing santa claus because he "acted up". I'm sorry if a 3 year gets excited on holiday events that doesn't mean you have a right to punish him like that. Also i would often catch the staff on their cell phones instead of watching the kids. One time a heavy wooden toy truck fell off a shelf and smashed his finger when i arrived they just laughed at it saying they have never seen a child react to something like that. Do no take you children to this school it only wants that paycheck from you and does not care about anything else. I removed my child from this school because of how i was treated after asking why they didn't call me to pick my son up instead of them making him watch everyone else take part in a easter egg hunt and the owner told me it was not her job to call me.
