She offered a free cake with whipping cream topping.But no thanks, I don't even want a cake for free from there. The cake itself was alright, nothing special but the icing was not mine nor my guest taste. Im over all very disappointed because I exacted more for $65. The cake did not look or taste any different than a HEB cake. I think think it should! My son even got really bad stomach pains and diarrhea from the cake! All the guest took the icing off the cake, even the kids!
The Owner of this establishment was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! Very Helpful, Very Kind to Each one of her Clients acknowledging All of us who came through the door and reassuring us She Would get to us as soon as possible. I had just been to Janets Cakery where i was treated like i was more of a bother than a paying customer then I was Told a Two Tier cake would cost me $ 280 then I was Told the cake i was requesting HAD to be done Only in Frosting, that cake fondant was NOT an option. Im So HAPPY!!! I came here to Edible Designs where im treated with Respect and The Owner Loves what she does giving me the cake i want as I want it----- No Excuses!!!! And my Two Tier cake was $ 155 same cake i was trying to order at Janets. I will be coming here From Now on for All Our Cakes!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You Mary!!!!! for caring about me the customer and Loving what you do, it shows in All your work.
Ordered for my sons 3. Birthday a dark chocolate cake topped with buttercream and a strawberry filling! Paid $55 dollars plus $5 extra for the filling. Unfortunately I did not receive what I ordered or expected!!
RESPONSE TO OWNER: My mom never once complimented those cakes and my grandmother didn't even get off the car. The only reason you knew she was there was because she told you my grandma was waiting in the car. AND you DID charge us for doing the bread again, "at no cost to you" is a total lie. The rescheduling of my wedding because a family member almost died and had to go in to emergency surgery is not at all why I'm upset, I'm upset because I gave every single detail I wanted on those cakes and I ended up getting a lilac groom cake and cracked fondant.
Answer to owners comment: You never bent over backwards nor tried to convince in getting a 3D cake! Besides you should not try to convince a Customer on getting something else. I was very specific with what I wanted. If you are that great then why is it so hard to do something simple like this? I did not wanted a 3D cake I wanted a regular cake, with a butter cream that tastes good and looks good. Neither was good, the writing on the cake looked like a child did it and the flavor was not worth the price. And yes, a HEB cake tastes better and looks the same. You as the owner should practice how to take some critics. You acted very unprofessional in person and you remain unprofessional online. By you people I was talking about you and your staff! End of Edit.
The cake had NO filling and it had a very sugary icing on top that overpowered the cake.No butter cream like I ordered! It was exactly what I didn't wanted!!!
Went next day back to give the owner a feedback. She said she doesn't back the cake, she has a baker that bakes it and she does the decoration only. She She refunded me ONLY the 5 dollars back for the not existing filling and claims that the topping is a buttercream!!

My friend had a cake from HEB the week before and it looked similar and tasted similar. I took some pictures of mine and hers is the chocolate cake from HEB.
I stopped into Edible Designs 2 weeks before my wedding. My wedding was 09/17/2016. I had expected to be given the brush off, which would have been understandable, given the short notice. When we walked in, an assistant greeted me and my sister. She was very friendly and helpful. We met Mrs. Mary shortly after. She was friendly and genuinely interested in what type of cake style I preferred. She didn't try steering me towards her style preference; she sincerely wanted to know what I wanted. You could sense her expertise without having to ask her how many years she has been doing it; the passion was obvious. She made me feel comfortable and not rushed. She sat with me, talked to me as I was describing ideas to her and she was patient with me. The customer service was great. I really appreciated that. I showed her a picture of what I envisioned and she said she can make it happen; and that she did! Mrs. Mary and her team surpassed our expectations. The tiered cake came out stunning; absolutely stunning. My parents and guests kept commenting on the cake; they said it was beautiful and delicious. :) Her signature icing was fantastic, everyone loved it. I recommend it to anyone; it was so good! Edible Designs by Mary did a fantastic job, especially on such short notice. I couldn't have been happier. I can't thank you and your team enough on what a great job y'all did. :) I'm recommending you to all our family and friends.
Never again. She asked for as much detail as possible for the groom and bride cake I wanted so I sent her pictures, clear pictures, with every detail I could possibly tell her. It looked like a child put it together. The fondant fell apart without even cutting it yet, the color for the groom cake was lilac (like really?) when I asked for dark gray. It's the only wedding I ever plan on having in my life and those cakes were horrible. Go somewhere else, especially if it's a once in a lifetime event.
Very suspicious that this page has good reviews only! Not very realistic. But here is my honest review! She must have had a bad day when my cake was done!
Absolutely wonderful!!! I've used Edible Designs for 3 of my special occasions and they did wonderful each time! Plus, I loved that I was able to communicate with her by email - I have a very hectic work and school schedule so I can't always stop and make phone calls. Definitely plan on having them make a cake for another upcoming special occasion!
