Since their new system came around, where one needs to order each item individually, they have, not kidding, forgotten at least one item from my meal every single time I've been (4-5 times). Today I had to convince one of the younger girls to give me my drink and chips that I paid for, since apparently there is no way to check once the check is closed, and she was pretty rude about giving me my drink. I work in customer service, so I know how to provide good service. I dread every time my girlfriend asks me to go pick up Schlotzsky's.
I was planning on having my husband go here to get take out soup as I just had wisdom teeth removed and the reviews aren't lying when they say the phone must be off the hook. Couldn't even get through to order anything and now that I have read the reviews I am happy to go elsewhere. Get it together Schlotzskys!
There seem to be a couple of middle aged women and a couple of younger girls. The middle aged women are always very nice. No complaints there. However, the younger girls, especially the one with the darker hair, have always been pretty rude every time I go, and/or unprofessional.
These are the most under trained people. They are never prepared when they have a sale. They were out of a lot things. They were having the anniversary sale and very very rude. Normally it is just overpriced for what you get. So I take advantage of the sales. Also their app is worthless.
Amusing individual at Schlotzsky's Corpus Christi - S Alameda tonight who is supposedly the store supervisor! One that failed to give me the information that I kindly repeatedly asked for who was to worried about making a scene instead of helping a paying customer and made a complete moron out of themselves! All I wanted was the number to corporate and your name. I did not need to be told I was in a family environment as I am well aware of that and there was no reason for that to be stated! Clearly will be shown on your video camera that you pointed out to me while we were at the register! Someone should seriously teach you a value or two and damn sure some managerial/supervisor skills! Was it necessary for you to run to your phone and harass me like you did with it because I corrected you on having a corp office in Atlanta that I had to get by calling a store in another city! Wow! Just wow! Unbelievable treatment from the moment I opened my mouth in this restaurant tonight! Very upsetting!
Staff was friendly but difficult to read the menu when you place your order. The floor was also littered with dirty napkins.
Food is fine. Service is god awful though. The place is right near my girlfriend's house, so it's very convenient to go for a quick sandwich since we love Schlotzsky's... but I wish it wasn't.
