Was in need of a car on short notice. They were able to pick me up from home. The process was smooth and effortless. Will do business with them again.
WARNING: Horrendous car rental agency customer service. Refused to let me take my reservation because they got my reservation information confused with someone else and canceled mine. Refused to refund me the full amount. Literally stole my money and wouldn't fulfill the reservation! Filing a dispute and chargeback with my bank. Absolutely shocked at this literal theft of my money. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!
Update: Went through AVIS corporate and they verified that they had no reason to cancel my reservation so they refunded the remaining amount. May still do business with AVIS in the future but definitely not this location for giving me the run around and being of no help to address this issue.
Horrible place with a horrible employee. Our company rented a car for us and when we went to pick it up Mike told us we couldn't pick it up because we didn't have the corporate credit card with us that was used to make the reservation. As we were sitting in the lobby waiting to here back from our company, we over heard him talking to an older lady who was trying to rent a car. Apparently she was having to change out a car because the first one broke down on her and he told her he had only one other car to offer her but it didn't have a full tank of gas. She asked them to make sure the tank was full as she had kid with her and she needed to drop him off to college and she didn't have time to stop and fuel up. They refused to fill up the car for her. After she left, a younger couple came in and he was talking about the older lady to them and he didn't have nice things to say. He told the younger couple that he didn't have a car for them even though they had a reservation. We also over heard a few call ins and he informed them that they didn't have any cars available. We ended up having to drive to the airport to get a car. Don't go here!
I had absolutely no issues reserving, picking up, or returning my rental. Their agents were very professional.
I read other reviews and was concerned, but when I went to pick up the car everyone I met was polite and helpful. The car was clean and worked perfect for me. Upon my return the car was looked over and that process was fast and hassle free. I strongly recommend Avis in Corpus Christi. My next trip will be in 60 days and this is the only place I will go (I have used other rental car companies, and had lesser service).
