I was treated so rudely and quite honestly felt so discriminated against The fact that the company does not supply an adequate means of filing a complaint is absolutely ludicrous. Let me preface by stating that I have suffered from psoriasis for over 10 years now, it is absolutely non-contagious and there is no possible way for any person to contract it from me in any way shape or form. People are ignorant and therefore I usually walk around completely covered My mother and I walked into the store and were not greeted, instead the sales clerks were all gathered in the middle of the store, gossiping about personal issues. As I walked past one of them she gave me a look of disgust, she walked over to another sales clerk, whispered something to her and for the rest of my stay in the store I was followed by one of the sales clerks, my guess, to see what items I touched. My mother picked out a few items to try on and when she approached a sales clerk to ask for a dressing room, the woman was so completely rude and dismissive and reluctantly walked over to open a dressing room for my mother. I guess having to stop her discussion about how their fellow co-worker placed the pink shirts next to an unflattering color and how Twin Peaks is too expensive of a restaurant was too much of a burden for her. Anyhow, after my mother tried on her items we walked over to the check-out counter to pay for our items. As the woman was ringing us up she never looked us in the eye or smiled, she then informed me that blouse I was purchasing was a final sale item and was not able to be returned, and she said nothing of my mother’s pants which also happened to be on the clearance rack. I wanted to ask why my blouse would be non-returnable, but embarrassed of the answer, I did not. I knew the reason the item would be non-refundable would be because of my skin condition. After all of this she still had the gall to ask me if I wanted to apply for an Avenue credit card. I told her no and she still pressed the issue, I told her no once again, she rang us up and handed the bag over the counter to me. By this time I admit I was rabid and when she handed me the bag I did not respond to her and I did snatch the bag out of her hand, and her response was to yell “191” if I recall correctly to her coworker clear across the store, who then followed me out of the store. This clerk did tell me to have a “good day” as I was leaving but again by this point I was angry, was this remark supposed to make up for the embarrassment they subjected me to? So no, I did not respond and simply walked out of the store.

It deserves NO STARS!!! Yes the store here in corpus is pathetic! I went with my cousin and this short lady with fake spiky hair name "CONNIE" kept harassing us to apply for credit.. We kindly said no but she just kept talking about the credit card and I started to get upset so I told her we will think about it... and she goes well if you decide to get it, you need to come to me no other employee and she did a creepy laugh... She kept watching us and following us like we were going to steal clothes or apply for a credit card with another employee. My cousin found a top but we realized the quality of it was very cheap. It was 60$ but was just not worth it. You can get a top like that at Penny's/ Walmart/Cato for 20$ at the most. Horrible! And top of that... Another employee came to is real quick asking for us to apply for credit she didn't say her name but she just kept joking about how great the credit card is. And than told us if she doesn't get a credit she will get in trouble with her "Big Boss". Well we end up buying a pair of boots and well that "Connie" lady checked us out asked if we decided to get the credit card and we said no. She said "okay you'll miss out on great coupons"! We said no again she just acted like she didn't want to cash us out! Than she asked if we wanted magazines we told her no and than she was like... "Well they are free and you can't pass up this offer anywhere else." Still told her no and she made a smirk and than gave us our receipt and didn't even tell us bye thanks for shopping nothing! I've never in my entire life went to a store that harasses you to apply for credit cards and magazines. Everyone that works their needs to get replaced. Horrible place to shop. Oh one more thing their bathroom does work! I heard a lady ask if she can use the bathroom and well the manager told her no that the bathrooms been broken that they have to go to target so the lady left! Well a minute later I heard an employee said 191 I'm going to the bathroom and she went to the back and came back with a paper towel drying her hands. Some store! Corrpurt needs to learn about their liar and harassment employees!! Ladies be aware!

My favorite place to shop!

I went in this store after seeing a sign from outside advertising $20 sweaters. I was in Corpus Christi for work and did not expect it to get as cold as it did following a cold front moving in, so I thought, "That's a good deal. I'll get a few." As soon as a walked in I was not greeted, but was told they were closing in 15 minutes. No smile, no offer to try on the sweaters I picked out, nothing. Well I still needed a couple of sweaters and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on something I just needed for a day or two, so I bought the sweaters anyway. When I went to check out, the cashier kept pressuring me to sign up for a credit card. I told her no less than three times I did not want a card, but she kept pushing. She even said, "Ok fine, but if you change your mind on the way out you better get it from me." Great customer service, ugh. So I wore one of the sweaters the next day when it was still cold, but realized the other two were of very poor quality when I tried them on at the hotel. If the sales woman had let me try them on in the store rather than glaring at me for coming in at 8:45pm and apparently ruining her life, I would not have purchased them. I will be returning the two unworn sweaters and will rethink giving my service to any Avenue store again after my experience at this store.

Is there less than one star!

Love the selection that they have, just a little pricey even with discount coupons.
