Love the feel of the place and the owner is very attentive
It started off soooo good, and the pedi was aweaome, scrubbed, massaged and moisturized, but then... then the manicure.
MANICURE. Paid for! but let me tell you, I thought she'd take off my nail polish and dip my fingers in water to loosen up the cuticle, but nope. she went straight to cutting my cuticle after taking off my nail polish, so it was rough and tough. THEN she quickly dabbed cuticle oil on my nails, and told me to go wash my hands, didn't massage it in. No scrub, no massage and no moisturization. So, me being the type to avoid confrontation, I shrugged it off and thought maybe when I sit back down she will. Nothing. She straight started painting my nails. When we finished, I asked her how much it was going to be but got no answer, she just went straight for the card in my hand, but right before she was about to swipe it I asked her again how much it was going to be. She then put it down and showed me her numbers and she told me 23 for the pedi, 22 for the mani including the shellac THEN another 20 for shellac on my toes. Woah. ok, so she charged me the pedi and mani separately because she charged me $10 for shellac on my hands and $20 for shellac on my toes. Fine whatever, Im not cheap, I have paid up to $75 for a mani & pedi including shellac, but reading off the other place's menu, it wasn't the shellac that jacked up the fee. In the end, I was shocked that I had to pay $65 for this.
I asked for a mani and pedi, and her menu stated the combo was $34, which the menu was a mess with things crossed out and not really knowing what prices belonged where towards the bottom. Well, I didn't see shellac on her menu, but I still asked for it knowing it'd be an extra charge.
I wasn't going to come on here and rant, but after paying $65.... the shellac shouldn't be buldjing up on my cuticle on the verge of peeling off.
I've been going there for about 12 years and Nina which is the owner is so awesome, she makes you feel like your at home before you know it, you start knowing everyone by name.
Best nails in town!
Idk if I'm just going to be a "stuck-up btch" when she and her 15 year regulars read this, but as a new customer, it's definitely not somewhere I'd return. I honestly got better service/quality at Lee Nails down Ayers. Giving it a 3 stars for the pedi :)
Great work! Fast service!
