The facility is nice, all new concrete driveways, no leaking roofs, always clean, and here's the but, Hurricane Harvey, most of the town was without power for several days and could not print paychecks and when asked if we could waive the late fees until we had power, the answer was no, Fox was very unreasonable, really didn't appreciate their greed at such a vulnerable time!
Was a great storage until they raised rent and stopped 24 hour access. I dont recommend this these storage units to people that actually need to access their property. I used to store tools and other items I would pick up as I need the night before or early morning. but now it is pretty much useless to me if I can't get to them when I need them. I even got there at 5am and had to keep trying again until 6 as the front gate locks everyone out. These hours are not stated anywhere outside btw.
We chose this storage facility because it's right across the street from our apartment. Despite the convenient location, we have had a hard time getting rent dropped off because there is no drop box on the building and the attendant is NEVER there even during business hours. Now they have just sent me a letter saying I'm past due on rent despite the fact that they already cashed the check I MAILED before the first of the month. (I mailed it to get it across the street because they're impossible to pay in person). It seems to just be one hassle after another with them. Also, after a year, they have raised the rent on the storage unit. I thought only apartments were looking to gouge their customers like this! I would not recommend them to anyone.
The exterior of this business is getting an upgrade however, the core administration and customer service mimic the elusive management. My personal experience with the new management, Fox Home Builders, affected my belief in supporting local business. Not reflective of pro-business in Corpus Christi.
Wasn't there for very long when my unit got broken into.the sign says 24 hour security but that only applies to the office and first row of units. Owners were kind enough to throw my stuff back in and lock it but became rude when I asked for a couple of extra days to move out. Assumed that I wanted free month. when all I wanted was a couple of extra days. I was working nights and didn't have much time to move.
