Absolute heaven encased in frosting. The cake itself was light, airy and moist. The flavor was so amazing it felt like bliss entering my mouth. I have and will continue to recommend this bakery to EVERY person I know that needs a cake. Or cookies. Or cupcakes.
We and as many people were affected by Hurricane Harvey. My wedding was posted for Mansion By the Sea and i had pre- ordered a cake from her. Hurricane Harvey hit at our venue and it was not stable enough to have a wedding as what Tiara the venue owner told us. After speaking with Michelle from Let them eat cake she said we would only get 60% back from what we put down on cake, and we paid it off. She said because we are cancelling we don’t get our full money back, i explained to Michelle that if it was not for our venue being destroyed we would not have cancelled her for that day. Michelle explained she could postpone our date to another date but we live in Houston and decided to have wedding in Houston since a lot down south was suffering from Hurricane Harvey. Michelle explained that we are still canceling and we only get 60% back and she keeps 40%, even though she didn’t cake one cake, cupcake or crack an egg. May i mention she also left her business because it was not safe and we live in Richmond, TX and we as well were dealing with Hurricane Harvey because we were flooded in. This was not our fault nor hers that Hurricane Harvey decided to come down our path. This to me should have been a void contract due to devastation and destruction in that area. I will not recommend her to anyone nor do business with her. (Everyone else did full refund due to devastation)
