So we try the cupcake.... it was HARD, DRY, AND DISGUSTING. I literally had to spit it out... I'm almost positive the one we purchased was a cupcake that comes in those packs at HEB and was just left in their display case for possibly over a week. Absolutely disgusting. WILL NOT BE GETTING MY CAKE HERE. Going to Janets, for sure.
I had order my daughter's 1st birthday cake 4 months prior and paid $250 for it as well. the cake was supposed to be ready at 12. the cake was two hrs late to her party and when we cut the cake it FELL ALL APART nothing stuck together my husband left a message for the owner to call him and we never received a call. i am most furious with this place NEVER AGAIN WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. The selfish owner needes to give the money back to all his customers that had awful experience or just CLOSE DOWN!
Horrible costumer service ordered a cake for my daughters 1st birthday and told them I wanted the whole cake with flowers and I only got 4 flowers 2 on the top corner and two one the bottom corner! Nothing how I asked when I told the owner they were rude! NEVER ordering from here again! Looked like a cake from HEB! On top of that I had to wait another 30 minutes for them to try to fix it and was late for my daughters birthday!
These reviews have saved me the trouble of buying a cake from Yolanda's! After speaking with the location today the Groupon Voucher does not work as stated on the fine print. The store wanted to accommodate a Quinceanera voucher toward an 8 inch round cake! What a joke...never have bought from Yolanda's, will never give them a try, and I will continue to purchase from other local bakeries or Janet's Bakery.
I'm not one to typically write reviews for places.. but my gosh, this place was AWFUL.
My friend had a baby shower on Tuesday wanted an ombre cake like this one in the first set of photos now I was told it would look exactly like the photo I paid for it advance the week prior to Tuesday the day of the event unfortunately I was working late so my friend picked it up but the cake was not to be found they offered to make a cake and deliver it so they offered my friend a square sheet bottom with the round top in the middle my friend dismissed that and demanded a round bottom when it got there in the managers hand in place of the fondue baby the topper it looked like this next picture #4 now If your familiar with a ombre cake the inside has the same tint as the outside the cake we got was white on the inside .
I will not deal with these poeple at all from now on not even for cookies.
They gave my friend an awful tasting cake it was half raw as unsatisfied customer I went back the next day to get a refund or maybe have them right themselves by offering a better cake on the birthday of my granddaughter all they came up with was 20% refund on a $160 !
My sister and I went in to discuss possible wedding cakes with them. After we finished talking to the associate about a quote, we informed her that we wanted to purchase a cupcake in order to "try" what the chocolate cake would potentially taste like. (You would think they would like you taste the flavor you're wanting-- but regardless). Well after we tell her which one we want, she proceeds to inform us that this particular chocolate cupcake we chose will taste differently from the other chocolate cupcake (larger size). We were literally paying when she told us this, so there wasn't much to do at that point... Then she goes on to say how she doesn't like it (that should be a flag right there if your own staff doesn't like your product).
