I have taken my boys here for years. No, you cannot go to the back with your children but you are able to observe them without them knowing. I appreciate that. My kids tend to play up the drama knowing that I am there. I have been asked to sit with my child when he could not settle himself down. That was appreciated as well. They are not going to keep you from your children. They are trying to get the job done and cause the children as little distress as possible.
I am surprised to see so many bad reviews. My experience with this company has been great. I have a child with autism and they worked so well with her. Cell phones aren't allowed in the back area but they made an exception for my daughter because her music helps calm her down while also blocking out the noise of a busy dentist's office. They even scheduled her appt during their slowest time of the day in order to minimize anxiety. They talked her through everything. They really did go above and beyond to make my child comfortable. And it paid off with a full dental cleaning and x rays. This is more than most offices have been able to do in a long time! I highly recommend them, especially if you have a child on the spectrum or even if they just have bad anxiety. I switched to Ocean Dental after having a bad experience with Terry Sommers DDS on Saratoga. If you have a special needs child, please read that review as well.
I hate this place. If any other pediatric dentist took our insurance we would be there instead. There's always an issue with something....I don't care if your paying cash. They don't listen to you, and by the time any messages get to the dr they've passed through several people and changed.
They did awesome with my son. Today was his first appointment. He's 6 months old and he didn't even cry!
While it did take a lot longer than I had expected, I do understand that kids will take priority. Even so, the staff was very nice and courtesy and continually checked on me during the procedure. I'm very satisfied with their work.
