DIGNITY - Respect for the worth of every person.
Here is what you get:
Wife had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic prescribed to her and we were worried it would turn into breathing difficulties or choking. We went to the er and were admitted into Triage after about 45 minutes. The Triage nurses asked some questions and gave her some pills for the allergic reaction. They said they wanted to monitor her and sent us into the waiting room.
The most negative thing I have about this whole experience is just the way that everyone was handled. The waiting room was packed to the gills and there were people who were genuinely scared and afraid. "They," were some of the people that were there waiting when we got there and still waiting when we left. It just felt like the hospital was treating us and the rest of the people more like cattle in a holding pen rather than people. The least Spohn could do since everyone has to wait so long would be to get more comfortable chairs.
• Incorrect, as mentioned above the administration was well aware this fully paid patient would be staying overnight yet made NO effort to prepare resources.
INTEGRITY - Honesty, justice, and consistency in all relationships.
EXCELLENCE High standards of service and performance.
.
• refer to the aforementioned.
Mission statement does not reflect reality.
COMPASSION Service in a spirit of empathy, love, and concern.
• Just like airlines the over book the days surgery schedule so there are No available rooms afterwards.
All the nurses and staff were very attentive to our needs. Thank you Nurse Senai! Our discharge nurse was the coolest! I experienced a very warm welcoming from the start of the admitting department. (Kim)
STEWARDSHIP Wise and just use of talents and resources in a collaborative manner.
In about 3 hours, give or take a little bit, they called us into the small room beside the Triage station and her prescription was changed, they checked a few things and we were sent on our way. Not sure where the monitoring of her condition took place because we were in the waiting room the whole time. Not once did we go beyond the door to enter into the ER itself. After such a situation and so little care you don't expect to get charged for a whole ER visit. Especially when you never made it into the back, but that's exactly what happened.
I had my daughter here and i wish i could tell you the name of the nurse that delivered my baby , becuse my doctor said i still had time. This amezing nurse held my hand when an afoul anesthesiologist old woman talked down to me as she roughly gave me the epidural, that by the way didn't work!! .and she talked to me wile the pain was unbearable. I thank god for her and all the nurses for the help♥️ i hope they get rid of that afoul anesthesiologist.
• Nurse response to other family members inquiry, "I already told someone else"
If this is the state of the medical system in the US as a whole I'm dreading ever having to go to the Dr. or hospital ever again. Especially if the care is as poor as it was on this day. Beware of the ER here, the actual hospital side may be great. As for the ER, I'd recommend trying another hospital before coming back here.
Couldn't even get them to get a wheelchair for my granddaughter who was too weak to walk into the e.r., then got major attitude when we asked again after standing around waiting for 20 minutes. Waited 10 more minutes - Went to another hospital. Only giving 1 star cause it is the lowest number of stars the app will accept!
