We took our children there and was given a price to pay before we left. We did not have insurance and paid the day of our visit. Now we have charges 4 years later stating we didn’t pay the balance in full. No one informed us there would be additional charges. Supposed to be a clinic but it has ER prices.
This place is fantastic-- wonderful staff. We were visiting Corpus for the weekend and forgot my son's inhaler. He had trouble breathing and we got into this place 20 minutes before closing. Staff was amazing, attentive, and quick to attend to him. Thank you Driscoll Children's UC!

This place advertises as and presents as an urgent care place, but they charge ER prices. Don't go if you don't have good insurance or unless it really is an emergency. I took my infant there when we were on vacation (after finding it was pretty much the only option) for upper respiratory symptoms and fever. Tested for RSV and flu. Charged in excess of $1,000. I have never had a bill that high from an urgent care/after hours pediatric place, even with similar tests run. This really seems like a scam for Driscoll Children's Hospital to make profits. I feel sorry for people who go without insurance, not knowing any better.
UPDATE: their billing misbilled as outpatient and not urgent care. We've called them multiple times and they refused to correct the issue. Beware!
My youngest had a laceration and he was seen quickly and they were very friendly. They did a good job on fixing the wound and made sure he never got upset the whole time.
The process went pretty Smooth and Fast (in and out in about 45 min ).
