Ive lived down the street from here for 4 years n i never eaten here before. So i gave it a shot.
Nice place. The food taste really good. Waitress treats people very gentle. I really recommend this place.
Oh yeah. These guys will never be robbed. There must have been 20 law enforcement officers come through while we were there!
I think because of the look they should sell pints of beer to complete the look. Set themselves different to bill millers.
I thought the steaks were kinda pricey, but it was still to early to tell.
Recieved my plate. I was impressed. It was good. The steak was crispy till the last bite. I dont know how i felt about the gravy though. It was runny and watery. I thought maybe it was because they want flavor on the steak but dont want it to get soggy. Through out the whole meal there was this strong garlic aroma. I couldnt figure out where it was coming from till i got to the bread. It was a bit too toasty. It was toasted in garlic butter. It wasnt my prefernce. But maybe for some others they might like it. I liked there fries. Perfect size. Im not a big fan on steak fries and shoe string fries is more like a snack.

I took a seat. The dine in is big and spacious i love it. Space between tables so its not so clustered. Theres two dining areas. Thats awesome. The diner has a hunters lodge feel to it. Bill Millers has the cowboy feel. N this place has a huntsmen, lumberjack feel. Damn.. If hunters n lumberjacks come here, I dont give a F*@$ if the food is good here. Ima be here daily trying to get me a man. Lol. N e ways.
The atmosphere was comfortable. They played country music so i enjoyed my sitting. I was the only customer there. Its the hours i call the "Dead Hours" so theres no excuse to F up.
There is no waitstaff. Its like Bill millers. U order n take a seat n they bring it to u. U get ur own drinks and condiments. I ordered thier famous chicken fried steak.
OMG!! My first time here!! DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Had the Double Chicken Fried Steak, Fries and Coleslaw. Melt in your mouth delicious!! Wife had the single order of the Chicken Fried Steak. Definitely will be back!! It is So TRUE...THIS IS THE BEST CHICKEN FRIED STEAK in Corpus Christi!! I will go that one step further...it is the Best I have EVER HAD ANYWHERE!!!

Overall, this place was different. In a good way. Food was fulfilling n not disgusting. The environment was clean and cozy. And the menu was a large selection. So i would come back to try something else.
