I've had nothing but problems with this place from the start. From hidden charges to waiting 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment only to walk out. I've even been charged twice for my monthly payment and denied a refund despite the fact that the charges were shown on my bank statement. I enrolled in the paw plan for my pup but looking back I definitely regret doing so since now I'll have to buy out the contract in order to get out from under this place. All I can say is don't make the mistake I did
Disorganized and uncaring. I used to take all of my animals here, however over the years I determined that they just clearly are only in it for the money and do not care about the pets or the owners business. Recently left multiple phone messages over a period of a week attempting to schedule my dog for boarding over July 4th week. After no return calls, I finally reached them only to be told that they are now full. thanks a bunch! MAYBE if you answer the phone or return calls I might get ON the schedule??? Last time I took her in she came back minus her collar. They WILL fill your email and mailbox with endless attempts to get you to bring your pet in though. Clearly they like your money. Lots of it as they are one of the most expensive vets in town as well. If I could give less than one star I would. There are FAR better vets in this town.
Ever since Dr. Hughes merged his clinic I've had an awful experience. My dog recently tested heart worm positive and I just wanted to make sure she was taken care of properly. I was getting told different things from staff. I wanted to do slow kill. Dr. Hughes wrote down a specific plan on how often when my little one would be taking Doxycycline. But when I called staff to let them know she finished that prescription I get told okay we'll retest in a year and keeping giving her preventative. It was extremely frustrating because I want my Luna taken care of.
I'm a transition customer from Corpus Christi Animal Clinic and to be honest I was very skeptical about the whole experience but from the information I received from the staff at Doddridge Animal Clinic, I decided to give it a try. So I took my chihuahua Taffy in to have her nails clipped & it was time to purchase another supply of the Heartgard Plus Blue that I've been using for the past 3 years. I was made aware (at that time) that their "protocal" for all new patients was a heartworm test shot to be sure she was clear of the disease at a cost of $37. (Honestly.......I really feel this should have been a hospitality gesture on behalf of Doddridge Animal Clinic for ALL of the pets "new business" they received on behalf of Corpus Christi Animal Clinic). I was on a very tight timeline that day & wasn't able to wait for my pet to have the procedure done so they gave me one (1) tablet until I could bring her in to get the shot. During the next week, I went by again to pick up another (1) heartgard tablet for my other chihuahua & was informed by the staff they could not give me a (1) tablet b/c according to his medical records, he hasn't received any heartworm meds since 2014. I explained that I always purchased a pack of 6 between my 2 pets & then another pack in 3 months etc etc. And because "share" was not indicated on their medical records....they couldn't give me one (1) tablet for my other pet. I assured her I would bring both of them in for the heartworm shot as soon as possible but she said "sorry" that's our protocall!!!! Needless to say....I found a new veterinarian hospital and I agree with all the previous reviews that Doddridge Animal Clinic is all about the money!!! And I was very, very sad that I never saw any of the staff from Corpus Christi Animal Clinic who were so awesome & so caring....did they lose ther jobs through this transition???
