Nice clean and convenient hotel. Very nice lobby and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was pretty common fare for hotels; not bad, but nothing that will make a "Best Restaurant" listing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Several family members have stayed here over the summer for a day or so at a time. We have found the hotel to be very consistent and met all our expectations.
The place was located nicely between a lot of local restaurants and business. We where only 10 miles from Padre Island which was our destination for the few days we where there. Over all, it made for a wonderful stay. I loved the idea of no carpet. I know because of being on the coast, the sand and storms, why they did not have carpet. But it made for a nasty floor within minutes of being there. I did have an issue that I took to the clerk and I believe the owner and I hope that issue was followed up on.
No phones working, asked for a wake up to my cell, they did not call, told them I would be checking in between 3-4 had to wait till after 5 pm. Asked for a handicap room when I made the reservation and when I got there, told me "no problem" then when they checked me in they said they did not have a handicap room available. (Had a difficult time in and out the tub/shower). I will give them 1 more chance next week. On the positive side the room was clean and very comfortable!
Very beautiful rooms. Large and spacious. Two areas, one for beds and other for lounging. The breakfast was delicious. Very clean hotel. Thank you to the cleaning ladies! ($50 deposit each night) (make reservations - you pay less and you will be sure you have a place to stay) (Always full)
Very nice, extremely clean, and affordable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! If it was enclosed (room door open indoors rather outdoors) I would give it a 10.
