The balcony sliding door it's locked shut permanently.
The hotel is in a good location, right in the bay. There are several bars and restaurants in walking distance and other downtown attractive nearby. The facility shows its age, but it's not too bad. There is a nice sauna in the pool area. No hot tub though
Convenient downtown location right next to the Selena Memorial Statue. Rooms are decent with a nice view of the gulf but bathrooms are a little tight. My only gripe is that check-in took 20 minutes with no apology for the wait from the front desk staff.
Kind off stiff price for not including breakfast nor parking space, parking it's charged separately at 10.00 plus tax, so 10.95 extra for parking.
Our stay here was good, the overall experience was good, not great, very friendly staff, but my room was outdated somehow and the restroom does need improvement on the cleaning, I found some mold on ceiling and walls.
My gripe is that for the price of the room, which when I made the reservation on line the total got to 210.00 dollars, the final bill was 260.00..
Try a little harder. This is not some flea bag hotel, but there were just elements that said they could have tried harder on cosmetic things. The connecting door was shoddily painted, and not even completed, with paint splatter on the area to put your suitcase. The balcony, which could have given a fantastic view of the marina, was sealed shut. I was very disappointed by that. The good things:The beds, new according to a flier on the desk, were great. I slept wonderfully. It is quiet as well.
I asked to get a room with view to the bay, and we could barely enjoy the view due to the windows been too dirty.. could not take good pictures either..
I was honestly expecting more from this hotel. The room was alright but a bit more cramped than we're used to. The air conditioner had a bit of trouble keeping the room at that "hotel cold" level that's usually expected. Our room did not have a mini fridge or microwave, that was an additional charge on a first come first serve basis if we wanted it. Parking is also an extra charge. The room was described as having a panoramic view of the water, but it did not. It was a small square where you could see part of the water, then other buildings. The view wasn't bad, but certainly not panoramic. All the balconies have also been sealed off with the reasoning being "the way the air conditioning currently works." The pool is neat, though not huge. It's a salt water pool that is both indoor and outdoor with an opening you can swim under. For some reason, they took away the hot tub that was there before. It has a dry sauna, which is nice, but it is small. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience, we were just expecting more, and I don't know if we'd stay here again.
