Nothing that the hotel management can fix but I share this for other people to know. The beach isn't the cleanest or nicest but a beach is a beach. The restaurant, Fajitaville, impedes the view of the ocean and does play loud music into the night but nothing that can't be cancelled out with your own night time sounds. The room was amazing. The shower was amazing. We really enjoyed our time there, so much that I booked another weekend while still a guest there.
Very nicely furnished room with rustic look furniture, a walk in shower and comfortable bed. The hotel is clean and all the staff members I've encountered have been very polite. My one complaint about the room is that the curtains, over giant picture windows, do not stay closed. There are three panels for the curtains, and it's very difficult to keep the spaces between closed. I had to but clothes pins to keep my curtains closed so people walking by on the sidewalk could not see in. There is also no sheer curtain or privacy screen so you can let sunlight in while having privacy to get dressed, etc.
I would give this place a 0 but I can't. We were at the beach and we went to check in at 2. We were already at the beach so right when we got in the room we changed and went right back to the beach didn't check room at all yet was already trying to enjoy our vacation that we drove all the way down from Colorado Springs to the beach on thanksgiving day. My daughters allergies started acting up and she has sensory processing disorder. So when she is not in a comfortable state she has an outburst of not know how to process what is going on. Then at that time my husband and I went back to the room and saw a horrendous amount of dust in the bed boards mildew all over the bathroom. The sheets were layered on top of each other not even switched out. 4 sets of sheets on one bed. I went cancelled my reservation after 1 hour. And now the manager is only offering half my money back. I will also be reporting to the bbb.
I loved it here. We stayed two nights. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. Showers have good water pressure and a good amount of room for two people. Air conditioner works great. It's not to far from the beach and a good restaurant right next door. I wish they had a pool and continental breakfast but it doesn't. And the restroom door slides open and closed and doesn't have a lock, which I thought was pretty weird. Even though, I loved my stay and I am already planning for next vacation here.
Reasonable rate. Definitely recommend extra $ for "Ocean view" room. Nice room layout. Recently renovated. Very friendly staff.
