Would I recommend the hotel? Yes, I would!
The manager who was working July 15 around 4 pm...was amazing she remembered and asked how my brothers wedding went. She also wasn't rude when we locked our selves out of our room. She was a very kind woman and I'd hate for her great work to go unnoticed. I could see her working for one of the corporate offices. She was spectacular and she made me and my sister feel comfortable and safe on our visit.
The only concern I had was the bed I was sleeping on was too hard. It hindered my ability to sleep well. The front desk personnel were extremely friendly and the amenities the room had were plentiful. The woman working the front desk actually came outside to help me with the pool door. I was extremely impressed. I just wish I had slept better.
Location is good. Staff was very friendly. I still think for the price there should have been a fridge in the room. And the shower was not the greatest. Also there was dust in the towel shelves and not enough towels. The shower towels are relatively small and you'll need two per person but we only had 3 for 2 people. I like that it is dog friendly. It's okay for a one night stay.
Just got back from Corpus Christi and can't wait to go back but not to this motel. I had to request a second room cause the first one I got the wooden floor was gross, it had a green color of mildew every where and worse in the bathroom. The second room, the floor wasn't green, but I had to sweep and mop my own room and clean the bathroom cause there was hairs and dirt like the room hadn't been swept in days. The bathroom was small and gross so I had to wiped that down with my Clorox Wipes. They really need to upgrade the rooms or downgrade their price. I gave it two stars cause the man that checked us in was really nice and the location was convenient just a few minutes away from North Shore and Padre Islands.
Would I stay here again? Yes, definitely!
Our vacation at the motel 6 on 8202 south padre island dr.in Corpus Christi was amazing. The staff was wonderful. From the time we arrived we were greeted and treated with highest level of professionalism. The room was very clean and suited are every need.we really enjoyed the pool as well. Can't wait to have more. Good times at Motel 6.
I am planning on visiting Corpus Christi and South Padre Island again next summer for vacation. I truly love it down there! So much to do and part of any great vacation is a great hotel/motel.
