On the outside this place looks kind of dirty but my husband insisted we stay since it was close to our favorite restaurant and beach. Check in took a long time but to make up for it they gave us a ocean side room, which we LOVED! The pool was clean and my girls enjoyed it, the room was old and needed some updates but overall it was clean and comfortable. The view alone will have me coming back for more.
Staff was very accommodating. First room we were given didn't have a view of the Lexington as was requested when we booked the room. Were told we could relax in the first room while another was prepared with the view of the Lexington. Was very important to me as my father served on that ship. Rooms show a little bit of age but nothing major. Hotel is within walking distance of the USS Lexington, Texas State Aquarium, several gift shops and restaurants.
The Radisson Hotel has a very nice view of the beach with a comfortable and soft bedding. The sitting arrangement is decent and the room over all is spacious for two guests.
Was there at the beginning of June and was expecting everything to be much busier than it was. Beach was very quiet and not a whole lot of people. And that was arriving on a Sunday afternoon.
Upgrades needed in the swimming pool area, hot tub is nice. Nice beach view. In door restaurant.
This hotel falsely advertised a swim up cabana bar with a waterfall on their website. The pool was small and had a rickety(aged and needed paint) wooden structure they called a bar. It was only open a couple hours in the afternoon and had a lady there with a couple of bottles of alcohol. So bizarre. They did let us check in early, which was a plus. The room was pretty standard and in good repair, but it smelled kinda dank. This hotel is right on the beach, and staff cleans it up daily but the type of people who stay here were dirty and left trash on the beach. It was close to the aquarium and the USS Lexington, which was why we were there. I guess the hotel is okay. The whole area just seems kinda scummy to me.
