Friendly staff, clean rooms, great place to stay! The view was beautiful, across the ocean. Definitely will be coming back God willing!

Even before that, I was very disappointed in the room. I was expecting a room comparable to other Super 8s which isn't great, but acceptable. The room was nasty and what you would find at the very cheapest of hotels. The toilet looked like it came out of an old school. The tub and grout between the tiles looked like they had never seen a scrub brush. We had a non smoking room, but even the display tray for the soap had cigarette burns in it. The ironing board was also very rusty.

Shame on you for ripping off people and I dont think I ever want to come back to Corpus again!!! Didn't even want to give you 1 star because you don't deserve it but wouldn't let me post this till I did the star thing that you don't deserve???

Don't ever go here, it was terrible starting with the person at front desk very rude, he didn't care if you had a question. Didn't even tell us we needed a wrist band to go swimming. Then they charge you a hidden deposit of $60.00 that no one told us about. The rooms need upgrading for the $194.00 we paid for one night. They smell ugly, lamps didn't turn on and were really old. There was barely any cold water to shower it was more hot water and only 2 towels in room two little pills per bed and we had asked for double beds?? One tiny shampoo&conditioner bottle with 1 tiny hand soap. I couldn't believe it has a lot of bad reviews and I mean tons of them and just seems nobody cares. Who runs this place??? We didn't read reviews till after we had booked it by then too late to cancel. But never again, they say you get what you paid for but in this instance $194.00 isn't cheap but we probably would have been better off at a little hole in the wall

The ice machine was completely disgusting and rusted. The ice buckets don't come with covers either and they told us they don't provide liners for the trash cans which were not clean.

How trashy must a place be to require their guests to get wrist bands before using pool. Maybe they had a problem with people jumping the cement wall that encloses it like a prison yard since it's right next to the main street. I highly recommend spending a few more bucks and getting a better hotel where you will actually enjoy your stay or going even more budget for the hotel down the road. This place is too expensive for what you get.

The bottom of the coffee maker was rusted and the plastic flip top where you fill it with water was broken off. When we tried to make coffee, it didn't work. My wife brought it down to get another. Later the woman was so rude, she called my wife over to tell her it worked for them. I guess she's never heard of a short in the wiring. My wife also informed them that the refrigerator was broken. It wouldn't go below 70 degrees or so. The lady at the front said they couldn't do anything about it until after we left. What were we to do for the second night? The rooms also don't have a microwave which you get at the budget hotel down the road that is almost half as much as the Super 8. Later, they had a change of heart and brought another refrigerator that worked, but their default is to make any excuse possible not to take care of things. The same care is evident in their breakfast which couldn't be cheaper.

The staff was friendly. They had a simple and plain continental breakfast. They had a pool. The hotel was right across from the pier and was close to Joe's Crab Shack and Landry's as well as the Selena Memorial. The beds were hard. I pulled out one of the disposable cups to use to get water to rinse my teeth with and one was in plastic and the other was not and had clearly been used and was tucked inside the other one. I pulled a towel off the rack to dry off after my shower and it either was stained or had not actually been washed, there was a brown stain about the size of a quarter just off center of the towel.

We had an excellent time. We enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed 2 extra days! The view is breathtaking, everything is nearby. Nicholas at the front desk was a jewel.

My family's experience here was horrible. The location is the only thing going for this hotel. We were not given the discount for being in the loyalty program. The manager said I had agreed to the price, but that was based on him telling me that he had given me the best discount I could get. When I checked later, I found out what he said was a lie, and he wouldn't give me the discount I was supposed to get.
