While working out I had to listen to this guy drop heavy weights. He threw his weights down after every set. The weights and machines in this gym are rusty and falling apart. The rust is so bad it's difficult to load and unload the plates on the bars and machines. The gym it's self is beautiful.
Price is mid level. I love the sauna.
I have been a member there for years. Whoever the Manager is now has let it go down. The showers have them little flies & knats in the showers. There is still feces on the hand rail in the Handicap shower rail. It's been there for 9 days now. The guys colostomy bag came off he dripped it through the locker room. That done me tonight seeing it still there. The manager is never there so some young assistant manager helped me. I told him about it when it happened. I told the same guy about it 2 days after. It's still there 9 days now. I told him tonight I'm going to report it to the health department. He told me to go ahead he will just blame the Janitorial Company. They need a new Janitor & Manager. They should have handled it one of the many times I told him about it.

Gym gets really busy but otherwise the place is probably the best gym in Corpus. BEWARE when cancelling your account make sure to get a confirmation number and take a photo of the form you fill out because when I went to cancel the guy at the front made me fill out the form, said it was all good and then did NOTHING with it. My membership didn't get cancelled because it was my fault for trusting Gold's Gym to run a proper business and I will probably end up paying an additional 2 months worth of membership. Guy on the phone when I called later was helpful but he had no power to actually help me. It's unfortunate that we can't trust businesses to operate with some integrity, but lesson learned.
Lots of classes for all ages and abilities. I really recommend the "Silver Sneaker" classes for anyone just getting started.
